Up is suddenly down. Mistakes are suddenly purposeful. Awe-inspiring wonder created from the humblest of beginnings.
The story of ZoLO began in much the same way…. inspired by nature and a love of toys. Something that went back to the
basics and inspired creativity in everyone. Armed with felt-tip markers, colored pencils and paper, it was around the
kitchen table in their small Chelsea design studio in New York that designers Byron Glaser & Sandra Higashi cooked up the
idea for ZoLO. Through pure idealism and entrepreneurial spirit, their concept evolved into a 55-piece, hand-carved, hand-painted wooden ZoLO
playsculpture set making it’s debut in 1986, distributed exclusively by the The Museum of Modern Art,
New York. Since then, ZoLO has evolved into many mediums. ZoLO•ooLo™ is the latest in its evolution.
